Feed size strongly correlates with regurgitation rate in nurse sharks.
Nurse sharks (Ginglymostoma cirratum) at Laguna Beach, California, USA, were fed increasing quantities of live fishes of decreasing size. Salinity did not change significantly. The effects of increasing amount of food and proportional food scale on the survival rate and regurgitation rate were examined. Regurgitation rate increased from a baseline of 17.4% for the smallest fish to 82.4% for 6add127376 kalvbil
