Edge may be a buzzword. Like ‘IoT’ and ‘Cloud’ before it, Edge means everything and zip. the arrival of edge computing as a buzzword is that the realization that there isn’t much growth left within the cloud space. Almost everything which will be centralized has been centralized. Most of the new opportunities for the ‘cloud’ lie at the ‘edge’. a foothold computing solution is deployed at or near the source of the info, rather than counting on the cloud at one among a dozen data centers to try to to all the work.
